Chapter 1, Introduction to Instructional Design Summary

In this chapter, I learned about technology, systems point of view, Instructional Systems Development known (ISD), and Instruction. Teaching is interpreted as getting content from a text into the heads of learners in a way to improve instruction. I learned that teaching and instruction goes hand in hand. Systems point of view is a way of instruction in which all components are necessary to have effective learning. In Instructional Systems Development there are five major phases in order to be successful. They are analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this chapter, it explains the details of teaching, instructional design, and behavior. It gives an in depth explanation on what it takes to become a great instructor.
